International Training on Green Coal Chemical Technology Opens a New Chapter in Mongolia–China Cooperation

A timely and significant event has taken place that could play an important role in shaping the future of Mongolia’s mining industry. The Mongolian Mineral Processing Association (MMPA), in collaboration with the prestigious Inner Mongolia University of Technology (IMUT), People’s Republic of China, successfully organized the International Training on Green Coal Chemical Technology to a high professional standard.

Based on advanced approaches to deep coal processing, production of value-added products, recovery and utilization of waste resources, and the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies, the training provided an important platform for sharing valuable knowledge and practical experience, further strengthening the professional capabilities of Mongolian specialists.

All participants who successfully completed the training were awarded official certificates from the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China.

The event was attended as distinguished guests by B. Chinzorig, President of the Mongolian Mineral Processing Association; D. Nyamdavaa, Executive Director; and Board Members N. Buyan-Ulzii and Ts. Munkhbat.

During the event, the two sides held productive discussions on expanding cooperation between the Association and strengthening collaboration between the mining sectors of Mongolia and China. As a tangible foundation for future cooperation, the Mongolian Mineral Processing Association and Inner Mongolia University of Technology formally signed a Cooperation Agreement.

The signing ceremony was attended by distinguished academics and faculty members of the university, including President Bai Ji, Dr. A. Shan, Dr. Liu Zhumin, Dr. Mashibilige, Professor Jia Jumin, and Professor Yan Xiaolin, who extended their sincere congratulations on the successful implementation of the initiative.

This cooperation, built around the acquisition and application of advanced coal chemical processing technologies, represents an important foundation for transforming Mongolia’s coal industry from primarily a raw material exporter into a value-added processing industry.

It marks the beginning of a new chapter in Mongolia–China cooperation in coal processing, coal chemical technology, research, and industrial innovation.
